Yes, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was Joebar's guest today.
He spoke about his life and music in our crowded studio. Many wanted to hear him talk, so there were barely seats for everyone. He told us that he was born on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg, Austria. He wrote his first sonata for the piano when he was four and composed his first opera when he was twelve! He wrote over 600 works during his lifetime, including 41 symphonies, and 27 piano concertos. He was, without a doubt, the greatest child star that ever lived! He was traveling all over Europe playing music by the time he was six. Because of his constant travels, he eventually learned to speak fifteen different languages. He could compose anywhere - at meals, while talking to friends, while playing pool and even while his wife was having a baby. He composed very quickly and wrote huge amounts of music. It would take over eight days to play all of his music, one piece after the next, without stopping.
On top of learning all that and then some, the audience left with gifts from Mozart.
Joebar's Talk Show continues to have the best guests - next week we'll welcome Sacajawea! Make sure you don't forget - next Wednesday, 10:30am and 4:00pm PST.
See you there :)
